So some of you have noticed and commented on the name change in the upper left there, “Dave Ex Machina”. That idea sprung into my head a couple weeks ago and I decided to give it a test-run.
What do you think, folks? Stick with “Legomancer” or switch to the new one? I like the former, but I feel like I’ve gotten away from it. What are your collective opinions?

Dave,
I’m still a Legomancer fan.
Rob
I think that you did kind of get away from using it when someone said that you were ‘hiding’ behind an alias. I love the name Legomancer, but I do feel that ‘Dave Ex Machina’ is a great name and a great fit for the type of blog you do. Also, according to google I get get only 3 hits for ‘Dave Ex Machina’ and it doesn’t look like anyone is currently using the phrase/moniker.
While “Dave Ex Machina” is clever, I wouldn’t be so quick to abandon the product identity you’ve built up over the past few years. Surely, this site is the first choice for those wishing to learn how to mance Lego.
Besides, “Dave Ex Machina” suggests that you are going to descend from the heavens when all hope is lost and solve our problems. I haven’t seen much of that.

…yet!
I like the Dave Ex Machinist, er Machina, better than Legomanncer, yet the latter is good as well. If you feel like people know you for the Legomancer, by all means keep it. But I really like the ring of Dave Ex Machina.
Neither of them are quite as good as “Waffles with Cheese”, but for my money I’d keep to the classic Legomancer.
I dunno, people might think you’re Brian K. Vaughan, but it is a good title…
