For some time I have limited the width of images on my blog to 500 pixels:

But these days, computer resolution is such that I can probably expand:

On the other hand, people reading blogs on littler screens (like phones and such) might have trouble if I go too wide.

So what say you, readers? What are you reading this on, and how do the above images look?

My God….it’s full of stars!
WAY TO NOT ANSWER THE QUESTION MICHAEL
But…but this is the Internet!
Fine…they all look good. No complaints.
I’m on a wide-screen laptop, using 1366×768 landscape. I see about 2.5 inches of yellow brick on the left and about the same width for the right column. The 800-pixel takes up almost all of the center blog column, except about 3/4″ on either side of the image. Any of them would look good.
600 too wide on iPad.
Viewing on a MacBook with a 1280×800 screen. 600 loses a couple of pixels under the sidebar, but nothing too noticeable. 800 loses a lot under the sidebar (everything from the L to the right edge) and goes a couple of pixels off the right edge.
