Gonna do this kind of quickly, but do it we will. Let’s go through Previews!

Who is this person?
Another Hellboy trade available (The Storm and the Fury) means I’ll be buying another Hellboy trade.
Dark Horse has yet another Star Wars comic out there, Agent of the Empire. It involves a guy doing space investigations. And he has a robot assistant named Ilda!

No wait, her name is IN-GA. Don’t know why I thought her name was Ilda.
There’s a big ol Empowered-palooza offered here. Lots of people — people I generally trust — have recommended this book, and I grabbed the digital version of the first trade a while back. Guys, you usually don’t steer me wrong, but I REALLY need some assurance before I continue, because…man…
Now, some folks are enjoying the new DC stuff, I guess, and hey, good on ‘em. But just to provide a single data point, I am a former superhero reader who was even a fan of DC comics over Marvel, and there is nothing here that has made me even remotely curious. In fact, if DC went the Marvel route and started putting their stuff in a separate catalog, I would do exactly as I do with the Marvel one and not even bother with it.
That being said, I’m getting the Flex Mentallo book. I don’t really need it in hardcover, but oh well.
Over at IDW, someone has decided that this:

is a comic book cover they should charge people for. They also have another G.I. Joe book where the identity of the new Cobra Commander is revealed via a scratch-off cover. What 90s throwback thought this stuff was a good idea?

Oh.
Did you know that laser sights are put on guns to more accurately aim them?

Because someone didn’t know that.
Antarctic Press has a book called The Last Zombie. You sure do know how to sweet-talk a guy, but I’m not buying it.

Fact! This comic is printed with some of Archie’s blood added to the ink!
This Nelson book looks interesting. 54 different creators taking on a single character, telling the story through a series of connected yet separate vignettes. Sure, I’ll try it!
Did I order the Judge Dredd Complete Casebook Vol 3? If so, I will order vol 4 as well.
I passed on The Homeland Directive before, when my budget was surpassed, but here it is again, and this time, I’m ready!

Fact! These toys were made with some of Mr. Potato Head’s blood added to the plastic!
Remember when The Simpsons made fun of a doll that was “special” because of a new hat?

Yeah.

Excellent censorship work there, Previews!
Finally, I leave you with this image of a Darth Vader wall decal.

POWER.

Man, it took forever to figure out what the weirdly colored inverted Vader head. At first I thought it might be some kind of jokey photoshop thing, then that it might be a weird fan in-joke I didn’t get about Vader’s underwear, then finally realized it’s just another decal in an unfortunate position on that sheet.
Any Empowered is good to continue on with, though the later books get kind of continuity heavy. Is this the previews with the omnibus edition? If not I know there’s one coming out, but there was also a digital omnibus on sale a month or so ago for an insanely low price.
I’ve no idea what “this Nelson book” refers to, but seeing it mentioned right after the Archie Meets Kiss items leads me to imagine it has something to do with the 90s pop-metal outfit Nelson.
