Google Plus is an interesting social network that I can’t seem to invite anyone to. Which sort of defeats the purpose.
I also admit that I don’t really understand how the circles work, especially since someone can add you without you adding them. I don’t know what that entitles them to do, but then again, I haven’t read any of the instructions. This is one of those cases where I feel like if I HAVE to read the instructions, it’s not me who has failed to do his job. The circles are THE thing for Google Plus, and even a casual user should know for certain what they are, what they do, and why this is an improvement over Facebook (assuming it is).
As I did with Twitter and Facebook, I went ahead and added WAY too many people right out of the gate, resulting in being a bit overwhelmed with stuff I don’t care about. I haven’t yet figured out how to tune it out, but I’ve already dumped a couple people.
We’ll see how it shakes out, but although I’m not crazy about Facebook, I also didn’t see any need for Google to do this, and am not really interested in being in the middle of a slap-fight between the two.
