Although There Are No Images in this Previews Post, it is, Alas, Not Image-less

Time to dig through Previews. There are actually a lot of things I’m interested in this month! But, as usual, there’s even more crap.

New Hellboy book? Ordered!

I think I’ve said before that while I certainly admire Axe Cop, I don’t think it needs to be something they chop down trees for. Nevertheless, I may grab it.

Probably not getting Facebook Dark Horse Presents.

You know, I used to be into DC’s superhero books, but I gradually lost interest. I think I’m going to pick up a bunch of them in August, see what’s going on in them. I figure it’s as good a jumping-on point as any!

How to Understand Israel in 60 Days or Less is now in softcover. I suspect it’s one I’d like to read more than I’d like to own, but since a digital version is not an option, the softcover may satisfy.

I am not sure what’s up with IDW’s Doctor Who Classics Omnibus. I guess they are trades of the trades they already released? Does this mean that’s it for the regular trades?

Image returns to its roots with The Infinite.

(The joke here is that Image has very, very bad roots.)

“Forget what you know about Bomb Queen!” says the solicitation on page 174. Oh, if only I could. If only I could.

But hey, Image isn’t all bad. I am picking up the Malinky Robot book on page 182!

The best thing about Antarctic Press is, since the publishers are ordered alphabetically, them being right at the front makes everything else look so much better! I’m betting half of their sales are from Avatar to help Antarctic continue to provide this service for them.

Excellent! We now have a Bionic Man comic written by Kevin Smith which we needed because…uh…because… Hey, I’m gonna have to get back to you on that.

There’s a new Optic Nerve out, and I was about to order it, but then it dawned on me that I’m not that crazy about Tomine. It’s shorts, though, which I tend to like more than his longer works. What to do?

Will I be getting Ganges #4? Is the Pope a criminal conspirator who should be tarred, feathered, and put on trial, with all of his assets seized?

On the same page, I’ll be getting Michael Kupperberg’s Mark Twain’s Autobiography 1910-2010.

Pantheon Comics has a full-page ad in this month’s Previews for Dan Clowes’ Mister Wonderful, which I missed during my comics hiatus. Mister Wonderful cannot actually be purchased through this month’s Previews.

Hey, did Hikaru No Go end when I wasn’t looking?

Finally, in the Games section, I’m a big fan of Small World, and Small World Underground looks appealing. We’ll see if there’s room in the budget for it after I order the comics.

What am I missing here, folks?
