How’s Cappy Doing?

A lot of people have been asking me the above, so let’s check in on him!

He’s snoozing on the sofa, so I think he’s doing okay!

He actually has been doing great. He’s a lot more mellow now, which is good for us, and we’ve gotten a little better at figuring out what he needs, which is good for him.

He’s started obedience training with a clicker and is doing great. He’s pretty good at sit, down, come, stay, look, and wait, and he’s getting there with off, mat, bed, crate, touch, and crawl. On walks he no longer pulls as much and doesn’t freak out about squirrels as much. The better he’s gotten, the smaller he seems to be. He’s not quite so overwhelming anymore.

He does well in his crate and will often go in of his own accord. His bed is now in the TV room because he liked to have it to lay in while we were in there. Most nights, though, he sleeps on the sofa (he’s not allowed on it when we’re in there unless he’s invited up.) I haven’t caught him in the forbidden chair in some time, though once Spring fully springs and the windows are open, that may be an issue.

He came out to visit some at the party the other night and did great (we had him in his crate in the bedroom just because we didn’t want him underfoot.) He loves people, and happily walked around trying to get pets out of everyone before eventually laying down in the middle of the floor.

He’s a great little guy and we’re very pleased to have him as part of the family!
