Everyone’s talking about this dumb website, I Write Like. Yesterday I finally put my own writing into it. First I put in the text from my most recent This Used to Be the Future, and then I put in the text from the latest Previews post. Both came back with the same result, proving that there is obviously SCIENCE! at work here: David Foster Wallace.
This doesn’t really add up because I can actually make it through an episode of This Used to Be the Future.
On a hunch, I put in the text from this post. The result? David Foster Wallace.
Finally, I entered this text:
fsdj hfjkhf lksjdfh kljsd hfkjh ksdjaf jdsah jfkjds hf

The result this time? Mark Twain
Which is dead-on correct. It’s a quote from The Adventures of Huckleberry Hsfdkjfsdkj.

Ha ha – I went through a remarkably similar process myself. I really must read more of Mark Twain’s work, it looks like good stuff.
