Do You Think We Can Merge With That Memory, Bit?

There’s a guy called “nnenn” who does a lot of spaceship models and posts them to Flickr. Really amazing stuff. He has declared that November is “NoVVember” with the “VV” standing for Vic Viper — the spaceship from the old Gradius arcade games.

Throughout NoVVember he and others have been building variants on the standard Vic Viper shape, and I finally got the time to contribute.

Here’s my VV, inspired by the movie Tron:

This particular photo is somewhat photoshopped for effect, but you can see the plain old model elsewhere in my Flickr stream. For the purists out there, only four of the pieces (two of which you can’t see in the photos, they’re this piece and they’re underneath, holding the wings/legs on.) are not what I’d consider “basic pieces” — standard bricks, slopes, tiles, and plates — and they’re all in basic red or black. I leave the identification of the other two non-basic parts as an exercise for the reader.

And it goes without saying, but if you don’t like Tron, then you’re no friend of mine.
