The Crabifix

This is the Crabifix. A friend of mine got it for me at a yard sale, back in college. It’s a thing of wonder and beauty. Is it blasphemous? I don’t know. I don’t think so. I think it takes a heck of a lot of belief to look at a crab claw and flippers and see a crucified Jesus. (It’s unfortunate that one of the “arms” was damaged during a transit.)

I realize that the point of this holiday to believers is not that Jesus was crucified but that he rose again from the dead on this day. But I already squandered my Good Friday post on skeleton warfare.

At any rate, Happy Easter! (where applicable)

I’m impressed that the crabifix is still in your possession. I thought that Mrs. Mancer was determined to accidently lose that thing during one of your moves.

The photo is great, by the way. What a stellar way to use your new light box.
