Pat Condell on Islam

I crack on Christians a lot on this blog. I think I’ve made it pretty clear that I’m not crazy about religion of any type, but since I live in America, Christianity gets up in my grill more often than any other religion (well, I guess New Age Woo-Wooism is a very close second.)

So in the interest of equal time I think it’s only right for me to say something about the recent bit of absurdity in Sudan.

But really, Pat Condell kind of says it all.

  1. Dave, sometimes I can’t tell when you are being somewhat serious about things like this or attempting irony that is only subtle for those of us who don’t get what you are trying to say. Not that this is a negative. I actually thought what he said, while a bit over the top, had some pretty valid points. Most emotions-based mythologies can go awry especially when violence is not only tolerated, it is reinforced by segments of that religion. Christians don’t go around killing people for fanatically egocentric emotional absolutes, as the ‘turn the other cheek is preached. Oh, never mind the Crusades……
