Leaves and Bees

We got a visit from the worker bees yesterday, who did a little raking. How much raking? Well, guessing is closed now so I can safely tell you:

49 bags

Take that, lowballers like Charlie and John M! Oh, but we had help, you say? Well add to those 49 bags the 20 that we had already done before the bees swarmed in!

That’s right, folks, we’re at

69 bags

That makes Anne T. the current winner, but only a few more leaves need be raked before Todd D. or Dave T. are in the lead. And here’s the thing: one of our trees is still green! Will it drop leaves before the snow comes? Will we continue to get blow-off from other folks’ yards? It’s all still up in the crisp Autumn air in the exciting sport of leaf-bag guessing!

I know what the secret surprise is……………………..you get the REST of the Chipotle Ranch Dorito Stash that Dave couldn’t unload on the Trick or Treaters! By the way check this out http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/tacodoritos

Wow, you did an admirable job of raking! I think it’s time to quit and enjoy the fall season. No need to bag any more leaves. Nope. Just relax and wait for that first beautiful snowfall.

  4. When I put up my initial high bid, I was doing such so no one would bid one higher than myself, rendering my guess useless. It looks like if the winds blow right, and if Beebo helps rake, I might have a shot. Go global warming! And Dave, having a yard free from all leaves is something to be envied by your Springfield neighbors…….
