I don’t have much to say about this track, except that I like it a lot. It’s by Andrew Bird, from his album The Mysterious Production of Eggs.

We saw Andrew Bird a couple of years ago opening for Erin McKeown, a local favorite. I remember Bird’s music being less straightforward than this album is, but still liking it a lot. At that time he was promoting the album Weather Systems, which seems a little more experimental. Nevertheless, the songs on Eggs are quite moving and heartfelt.

This track, “Fake Palindromes” is a little more uptempo than many of the other songs, and I really dig the swooping violin on it.
