Nice Going, NASA!

So, not only did NASA “rocket scientists” drunkenly crash an expensive space probe into a comet, it turns out that the site of the impact was a nesting site for a rare and endangered Comet Owl.

Now there’s one fewer of these magnificent creatures in the world. WAY TO GO.

I was very excited to see the pod’s-eye-view of the event. That is, until I saw Bruce Willis come over and shoot the probe…

  2. Steve Pheley says:

I oppose unprovoked attacks on comets! I’m not convinced that all diplomatic options were exhausted.

  3. Lanf says:

I think we should be blowing up more comets. If we had been doing that, do you think the events chronicled in “Night of the Comet” would have occurred? Nay, indeed not. Comets must be treated as the menace they really are!

  4. Dave says:

If NASA can crash a spaceship into a comet, why can’t they crash one into Tom Cruise?

  5. Jeff says:

Because he’s a ninth level Science-ologist or some such thing.

  6. Dave says:

When you phrase it like that, Jeff, it sounds stupid.
